The Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Convention
The Legion's 50th Dominion Convention will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, August 22 through 26.
This year's theme, A Century of Service. Honouring the Past. Shaping the Future, marks the Legion’s 100 years of service to Veterans, their families, and communities across Canada. It reflects both the legacy created through service and sacrifice, and the responsibility of today’s members—through the decisions and leadership of Convention—to shape the Legion’s future.

Information for Branches
Convention Call
The Convention Call and Credential Certificate were emailed to Branches in February, and posted below. Branches will be required to submit the Credential Certificate to their Provincial Command to select their Delegate(s). Check with your Provincial Command for their submission deadline.
Information for Delegates
Delegate Registration
Only accredited Delegates can purchase the Delegate registration. The Convention registration fee for Delegates is $120. The fee will be paid online by Visa or Mastercard.
Accredited Delegates will receive an email in June with details to finalize their registration and submit payment.
Delegates are responsible for making their own travel and hotel reservations. Information on travel and accommodations is detailed in the Convention Call.
What's New
Nomination Process
The nomination process for the offices of Dominion President, Dominion First Vice President, Dominion Vice President (x3), Dominion Treasurer, and Dominion Chair shall be conducted prior to Convention. Nominations will not be accepted from the floor during the 2026 Dominion Convention. Download the form to nominate candidates for office. Please refer to the Convention Call for more information on the nomination process.
Note: Only accredited delegates may submit a nomination.
Centenary Banquet
A Centenary Banquet is scheduled for the evening of Saturday 22 August 2026 at the Convention Centre to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Legion. The Delegate registration fee includes a ticket to attend the banquet. Spouses/guests of registered delegates who wish to attend the banquet will be provided with the option to register for a fee at the same time of the online delegate registration payment.
Delegate Resources
- Committee Reports and Resolutions will be available in July. Resolutions must be received at Dominion Command by 2 May 2026.
- Resolution Questions: Delegates may submit questions on reports and resolutions prior to convention. Submit via email to convention@legion.ca. Please include your Legion membership number.
Technology Requirements
Voting for elections will be conducted through the use of an app on mobile devices. Delegates will need:
- a smartphone or tablet with data or wifi capabilities
- to download the Convention app (required for voting). Available in Spring
- to register with a valid email address
Be an Observer
Register as an Observer to watch The Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Convention proceedings. The convention registration fee for Observers is $80. Payment will be paid online by Visa or Mastercard. Observers are responsible for making their own travel and hotel reservations.
Registration will open in the Spring.
