The Dominion Convention of The Royal Canadian Legion is a significant event held every two years. Legion members from across Canada and abroad gather to discuss key issues, set priorities, and make decisions about the organization's future. It also allows Legion members across the country to meet, share ideas, and learn.
The Royal Canadian Legion's governing assembly meets at each Dominion Convention. Delegates discuss policies, past resolutions, and vote on matters affecting Veterans, the Legion, and its future.
Convention delegates include representatives from Branches, Provincial Commands, and national levels.
The Convention is about making decisions, fostering camaraderie, and reinforcing the Legion's commitment to "Service Before Self." The Legion's 2026 Dominion Convention will take place in Winnipeg, MB from 22-26 August 2026.
In 2026, The Royal Canadian Legion celebrates its Centenary—100 years of honouring Veterans and serving communities across Canada. This year, it will be more than a Convention—it will be a national milestone.
