Procession and Ceremony

Following a motorcycle procession, participants of the National Memorial Ride gather at the National Military Cemetery at Beechwood for a commemorative service.

Participants in the National Memorial Ride gather at the Canadian War Museum to ride through the streets of Ottawa. The procession route leads to the Beechwood National Military Cemetery where participants will gather for a commemorative service.

The 2018 event is held on Sunday, June 3 in Ottawa (2018 route and ceremony details to be confirmed)

The ceremony is conducted as per standard Legion protocol.

13:50      Riders Arrive at National Military Cemetery

14:00      Remembrance ceremony begins

14:20      A grateful Nation Prays (Non-denominational prayers)

14:30      Organizations place wreaths

14:45      Closing of the Remembrance Ceremony and Final Remarks

14:50      Post-ceremony visit of cemetery
